I happened to be in Santorini and noticed something that anyone who has delved a little deeper into the \"ladder\" of self-awareness would have seen.\u00a0<\/p>

We had gone to Imerovigli to experience the famous Santorini sunset from above, not only visually, but also by being in a different state of consciousness, from another \"step.\"<\/p>

What quickly became apparent was that of the hundred of us sitting on the steps watching the sun set, ninety were either chatting about unrelated topics or daydreaming.\u00a0<\/p>

One person was thinking about the cases they had left behind when they left work, another was thinking about the tiles they would need to put in their renovated bathroom at home, etc.\u00a0<\/p>

I would tell you that there were nine others who were also observing the phenomenon they saw. They were indeed at sunset, but each in their own way.\u00a0<\/p>

In other words, by observing the sunset, the natural scientist could see the rotational movement of the earth.\u00a0<\/p>

The meteorologist observed how tiny particles of moisture and dust cause this refraction of light and produce these colors.\u00a0<\/p>

The poet used this phenomenon to describe in words the glow that the sun brings to our hearts.\u00a0<\/p>

The painter saw the shades of orange and wondered how he could achieve this mixture of colors, etc., but all nine of them were engaged in translation, each in their own way.\u00a0<\/p>

But there was also someone who WAS in a state of \"harmony,\" \"love,\" \"abandonment,\" in that which is \"love,\" in that which \"brings everything together\" (because that is what love is, it is that which \"brings everything together\").\u00a0<\/p>

It was sunset, he wasn't daydreaming, he wasn't preoccupied with anything else, he wasn't interpreting it through the \"translating glasses\" of yesterday, but he was attuned to this phenomenon that was happening in front of him. He did not use mental images, he did not use words, but he experienced this phenomenon that was happening, he had become ONE with it.\u00a0<\/p>

So, as I have already told you, experiencing a phenomenon (whether it is perceived by the five senses or not) is not something that only happens at sunset; it also happens at sunrise, at dawn, at noon, at midday, and in the afternoon, and not only in relation to the sun; it happens with trees, with glasses, it happens with stones, birds, the sea, it happens with everything<\/p>

The state of Awakening, of Experience, the state of \"sunset in Santorini,\" or otherwise the third state of Consciousness, is rare and does not happen mechanically, but requires constant engagement and serious effort to stabilize the perception on this \"step.\"<\/p>

Question:<\/strong><\/span> Last time, we said that today we would also talk about travel. We mentioned that boats are safe when they are in port, but they were not built for that purpose.<\/p>

It was indeed my intention to talk about this, but I didn't have time. This example was a metaphor. I didn't mean traveling in the world perceived by the five senses. I wanted to talk to you about the journeys of Consciousness.<\/p>

Simply, I have already briefly mentioned this state of Consciousness through which these journeys take place, in the phrase I used, \"relaxed and alert,\" through \"being awake.\" With these expressions, I planted the seed of what I want to deal with, this kind of journey, the journeys of Awareness.\u00a0<\/p>

But since you brought it up, I will comment on traveling in the three-dimensional world.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

We like these trips for two reasons: first, because they boost our ego, they validate who we are, that I have been to London, let's say, I have been to Morocco. \"You know, I have been to all the islands and I have seen... and I have been... ' In other words, it immediately gives me an extra identity, a sense of self-importance, that I am not, of course, 'like ordinary mortals', as the Pharisee said in relation to the tax collector. It gives me a sense of importance in terms of what the \"social system\" considers important.\u00a0<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

A variation on this first reason is that I may simply want to escape from routine, from the futility of everyday life.\u00a0<\/p>

I want change.\u00a0<\/p>

I want to do something different.\u00a0<\/p>

And this is where this persuasive mechanism, the \"system,\" the Matrix, comes in and convinces me that when I go to London, Amsterdam, Berlin, when I do this or that, \"then\" I will feel really good.\u00a0<\/p>

Marketing, the persuasive mechanism, works on the basis of neurolinguistic programming, through which it convinces you not only of what to want and how you will feel when you acquire it, but also that \"you\" chose it.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

But there is a second reason why I travel.\u00a0<\/p>

This may or may not be achieved.\u00a0<\/p>

Let's say I'm going on a trip somewhere.\u00a0<\/p>

The most common thing is that I have already seen videos, I have already seen various images of this place and its sights on television, I have spoken to people who have traveled there and I have gathered information. So what I am going to see is not unfamiliar. It is not completely new and unknown. I already have impressions of it based on the information I have gathered.\u00a0<\/p>

But if I go somewhere relatively unknown and stay there, looking around me in a state of surprise, speechless, the question \"What is this?\" may spring to mind. In other words, I see a statue, a landscape, a structure, and I remain, as they say, \"stunned,\" in a state of surprise.<\/p>

This is the situation in which what the senses perceive is no longer seen through the description you already have, through the \"glasses,\" the information you already have in relation to it, but is something new, unknown.\u00a0<\/p>

This freshness of the new is what Jesus refers to when he says, \"Become like children.\" In other words, things should be new, fresh, as if you were seeing them for the first time. This openness to the new brings you to a state of wonder, a state of surprise. Essentially, the mind is calm, undisturbed. This is what I mentioned earlier, the \"state of Awakening,\" being \"relaxed and alert.\"<\/p>

This freshness In this state, the third state of Consciousness that we have mentioned before, the mind is calm, without interpretations or preferences. This creates an opening for a deep Joy to spring forth, which I would describe as the \"Joy of Being.\" Joy, Bliss, which is the natural state of the Self, of Being, of the new, is what Jesus also says, \"become like children.\" That is, for things to be new, fresh, as if you were seeing them for the first time. This openness to the new brings you to a state of wonder, a state of surprise. Essentially, the mind is calm, undisturbed. This is what I mentioned earlier, the \"state of Awakening,\" being \"relaxed and alert.\"<\/p>

If we understand how this Joy springs forth, then every moment, every event, can trigger this opening, which transforms everything, every Now, into a wonderful \"journey\"...<\/p>
